Myths About Green Domestic Cleaning
Cleanliness is important whether it is
office cleaning or
domestic cleaning. Keeping our environment clean is a sure fire way to make sure that we remain in good health and productive. With that being said it is also very important to practice green cleaning techniques that can significantly effect our environment in a positive way. However, the only problem is that many people are resistant to green cleaning supplies because of some die hard myths. Here I will dispel some of the more common myths associated with green cleaning.
Myth One: Green cleaning supplies are too expensive.
This is partly true, in the past when green products hit the market they were only in the domain of the people that could afford to care about the environment, but not anymore. Take a look at common green cleaners, they may cost a little more but not enough to break the bank. If green cleaning supplies are still too pricey for you try the old methods of vinegar and baking soda, these are rock bottom inexpensive and highly effective.
Myth Two: Green cleaning supplies don’t work as well as traditional products..
This myth is also based on the past. Advances in technology have allowed many products to be as effective or more effective than traditional cleaners and without the negative side effects.
Myth Three: Companies that offer Environmentally Friendly cleaning services need to be certified.
There are many certifications available to those companies that seek them out but there is nothing stopping a company from offering eco - friendly alternatives. Many companies market green products that are nothing more than a marketing tactic. It is best to ask the though questions of a company that claims to be green.
Myth Four: I don’t want to be associated with those hippies and weirdos.
Ok, I can’t argue with this one because there have been some pretty outlandish environmentalist over the years but the truth of the matter is that there are too many reasons to go green to hold onto an old stereotype like this.
Myth Five: It doesn’t really make any difference anyway, why bother?
It is this attitude right here that is responsible for many of our environmental problems today. If we stopped acting helpless we could make a real difference. Making the change to green cleaning supplies can also significantly improve your immediate environment by reducing indoor air pollution.
Go ahead make some changes in your office cleaning program or simply you domestic cleaning and you have the power to make a huge difference.
